About me
Professional care, close to the person.
I am Simone Melis, an independent registered nurse. I work alongside people and families who need a healthcare professional who is present, competent and easy to reach.
I have developed experience in community, residential and semi-residential services, working with vulnerable people, caregivers and multidisciplinary teams. Good care is not only a set of procedures: it requires listening, clear explanations and continuity.
After my Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, I completed a first-level Master’s degree in Management and Coordination for Healthcare Professions. I also undertook specific training in hard-to-heal wound management with IAWC and work as a wound-care specialist.
When I enter someone’s home, my first priority is to make the person feel heard and the family less alone: explaining what is happening, what to observe and how to build a care plan that is sustainable in everyday life.

From blood collection to laboratory delivery.
The sample is collected at home, avoiding travel and waiting. The service includes checking the request, identifying samples and delivery to the agreed laboratory.

The service is defined after an initial assessment. Health information is shared with family only with the person’s permission.
Clear boundaries
This is scheduled care, not an emergency service. Advanced dressings, tests, ECG, Holter and other services can be arranged separately.
Every situation is different: the content and organisation of care are agreed after an introductory conversation and initial assessment, without imposing a standard package.
